The Woodstock Playhouse: The Woodstock
Playhouse replaced and paid homage to a beloved historic structure. Designed in
parts (some historic, like the entry and sign, and some purely functional like
the seating, the roof, and the backstage areas) so that the building could be
built in stages. This design was particularly challenging because of its low
budget, its need to accommodate the discerning Woodstock theater crowd, and its
location at the entryway to the town of Woodstock.
